The Martin Van Buren National Historic Site features Lindenwald, Van Buren's home after his presidency was over in 1841. Trained docents give tours of the home, recounting stories from Van Buren's life and presidency and also highlighting surviving artifacts and documents from Van Buren's lifetime. Located south of Kinderhook, the site is a 30 mile drive south from Albany.
Open mid-May - Oct: daily, 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Tours run on the hour.
